West Coast seeds is an awesome local business with organic seeds and plentiful resources on growing through their West Coast Seed Academy found on their website.
Farmers on 57th in South Vancouver host a yearly Grow Your Own Food Course, which is a bi-weekly in-field course through the Spring and Summer. From bed prepping, to planting and tending, harvesting and making garden preparations for winter, it is a full season hands-on learning experience to feel more empowered in your own garden.

Garden Supplies
Located on 3448 Commercial Street, they have a broad variety of garden tools and also provide workshops to teach you how to maneuver certain power tools. This is a great resource to access materials you would require only once or twice a year to maintain your garden or transplant some of your crops. You can obtain an annual membership to access the cooperative and benefit from their broad tool inventory.
To find good and for fairly cheap bulk soils, head to Garden Works Lougheed location. Near Holdom 6250 Lougheed Highway.
